Description
The #297 is a very peculiar shape. It belongs to the series of 2XX shapes which are featured by the double saddled mouthpiece which has the tenon fitted directly into a waved portion of smooth briar.
The bowl is very large and it has a deep and craggy rustication which has been left, natural, unstained. The wide smooth rim has a nice tanned colour. Chamber is very large and walls very thick.
Stamping
CASTELLO NATURAL VERGIN G (in an oval), MADE IN CANTU' ITALY, Kino (in an oval).
On the mouthpiece it is stamped: HAND MADE CASTELLO
Condition
The pipe is new, unsmoked.
Notes
The pipe will be shipped with an original Castello sock and a Castello box. |
