Description
I am very proud to present this jewel on my website. I hope that you enjoy the slide show above.
It is one of the “Collection” shapes made by Paolo, and it is called “Rhodesian Double Sitter” because it can stand on its own if it is laid on the bottom and shank or it is placed upright. The grade of the pipe is “Collection Royal Flush B”, which is one of the highest in Paolo Becker grading system. The grain is gorgeous. The round bowl has a perfect straight grain all around, and the wide rim has one of the most beautiful birdseye I have ever seen. It is so close and with very nice plays. The bottom of the bowl has the same close birdseye grain. Here you can see the two small supports to lay the pipe on its own. The round shank has a smaller section where it meets the bowl and it is larger where the mouthpiece is fitted. It is very thin and featured by a wide fishtail.
