The Oliphant shape is made to recall the tusk of an elephant. It is featured by a smooth curve from the top of the bowl up to the end of the rim.
It is a very popular shape amoung pipemakers who can express the best of grains and birdseye on it. It usually stands and it could also have a lightly oval bowl, shank and stem.
